Interest for web design developed in me around the same time I started getting addicted to the internet, which was some time in 2002. I've learned a lot about web design through people I met on message boards, by looking and admiring their beautifully-constructed websites. The person I most admired and also the person who I can say influenced me most in web design is Joyce Logroño, better known as Doiz. She is a very talented woman; her works were simply ravishing, and she's Filipina too! Ate Doiz was also one of the reasons why I decided to take up Computer Science during college. During those days the only ways I could set up a website up were either through Geocities, Freewebs, or through a domain owner kind enough to host me for free. My very first website was called Gensomaden Saiyuki Fanfiction, which wasn't that much of a success unfortuntely (I only got one fanfiction submitted to the site xD). Eventually I gave up on that, and after some time I decided to open up Brigandine Inc., a personal site. I got hosted by a friend during the later parts of Brigandine Inc.'s life, but when my friend's site went down, it took my site down with it. I just didn't get back to reviving the site after that happened. So I was out of the web designing scene for quite some time. During the last term of my sophomore year in college I found out how I could use my credit card to register for Paypal; that was the time the idea of getting my own domain name came up. Getting my own domain name, being able to call a website all my own, has been a dream for me ever since I started web design. And finally, after many years, that dream came true -- Immaculate Rain was born on February 16, 2008, and just three days later, Brigandine Inc. was reborn as Barely Visible. |

| As I was thinking of names for my personal site, I was thinking of using the name of my former personal site (Brigandine Inc.), but then settled for Barely Visible. I first thought of the name during a very difficult time in my life, which was during the summer of 2006 -- a time I felt that I didn't exist for one particular person. I used it first as an in-game name for Gunbound, then eventually as the name for my multiply site. |
